The campground is also close to the Sylvan Lake Lodge on the lake edge, which has a restaurant, cafeteria, and gift store. All overnight visitors have access to flushing toilets and showers. The campground operates between the middle of May and the end of September. Thirty-nine sites are available and are only suitable for tent camping or small recreation vehicles less than 27 feet. The campground is located near the shores of Sylvan Lake, also known as the 'Crown Jewel' of Custer State Park.
